We would have been money ahead, and just as happy. Instead, we could have bought some Wisconsin property and a Season Pass to The Fireside. Also, I could have invested the money from the jaw-dropping bills from the hotel stays and for prime seating for the fifty or so Broadway shows that we have seen. Had I known about The Fireside Dinner Theatre, years before this last trip to Wisconsin, I could have saved some of the forty-six years worth of money that I spent at Sardis, on West 44th. I once sang "One Night With You" to my wife, and it stretched out into forty-six years of real living. We saw "All Shook Up" but I would bet that he never misses with any of his productions. Ed Flesch, manages to place big-time talent on a small, theatre in the round, with square corners stage, using every inch of space including the aisles, to present a show that was worthy of the standing ovation that it received. Even without the theatre, the dining would be worth the visit. The staff is attentive and personable, the food is first rate, and the overall ambiance of the establishment is appealing. For value and a completely enjoyable evening, I would highly recommend The Fireside. If you want to experience high dining and Broadway talent up close and personal, you can save your hard-earned Midwestern paycheck by joining those who already know that in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, you can have a darn good time without laying your money on a New York table. The Fireside Dinner Theatre is a Wisconsin gem that sparkles with New York flair. Thank you, Ryan and staff, for a truly unforgettable Mother's Day celebration! What an absolute 180 degree turnaround from last August! We will definitely be back in 2016 for A Fireside Christmas. We saw the Elvis themed show All Shook Up and were thrilled with the song selection as well as the caliber of the singers. The cake was moist as can be and the frosting.if only I had their recipe! Oh, and then there was the show, as if the meal wasn't enough. My mom took my husband's, who couldn't finish, and ate his in addition to hers. The carrot cake and rum raisin ice cream dessert was to die for. The chicken was a bit dry, but show me a chicken breast that isn't. The ribs were out of this world, literally falling off the bone. My mother was the lone person in our party who didn't upgrade and had the buttermilk baked chicken breast with ribs. The asparagus, carrots and potatoes were all very good. My father had the ribeye and was very pleased. My husband was equally satisfied with his. It was cooked to perfection and rivaled the Waygu beef filet I had at an expensive steakhouse on Valentine's Day. My husband and I both had the sirloin and it literally melted in my mouth. 75% of my table upgraded our meals to the steak for less than $10 each over the included price. The coffee was even of superior quality! But the true star of the day was my steak. The bread (maple walnut and cheddar) was so delicious that I had seconds. The food was, honestly, some of the best I've had. He ensured that I didn't have an allergy to any of the other fruits in the salad or to the blackberry sangria (which I didn't, was delicious!) His genuine concern for my well-being in regards to my allergy was much appreciated and something not often found in dining today. What impressed me the most about the service was our waiter, Charlie. They provided the same salad but brought out a caddy of oil and vinegar for my dressing. I'd looked up the menu beforehand and called to tell them and was given a card alerting the waitstaff to my allergy. I also had a severe allergy to the papaya salad dressing they served. When I informed the bartender, he made me another specialty cocktail from the menu without question, and without additional cost. It was completely my fault for not reading the entire description. I'm allergic to banana and inadvertently ordered a specialty drink with banana liqueur. Accessiblity with The Fireside is a non-entity, particularly with the wheelchairs they have for use. When does a business owner take the time to contact a dissatisfied customer to make things right in this day and age anymore?! This time, my father had mobility issues due a recent knee injury and used a walker and I'm in a wheelchair. Thanks to the graciousness of Ryan Klopcic, one of the owners, we decided to give it a second chance. I'd been to The Fireside with my family last year to see Smoky Joe's Cafe in August and had been so disappointed that I swore never again.
